President Barack Obama Says He Won’t Speak at Malia’s Graduation Because He Will Cry

Tissues, please.

He might be the leader of the free world, but even President Barack Obama has his limits. The father of two has turned down an opportunity to speak at Malia’s, his eldest daughter’s, high school graduation because he will be crying, according to Jezebel

"Malia's school asked if I wanted to speak at commencement and I said no," he told guests during a luncheon at the Jolly Pumpkin Brewery in Detroit on Wednesday. "I'm going to be wearing dark glasses...and I’m going to cry." ABC Newsreports that this is only a portion of his comment because it was sporadically caught on audio.

Malia is set to graduate this spring. Last year, she toured a number of colleges including Stanford, Columbia, Yale and Princeton.
