A woman claims that she found a lizard head and other assorted body parts buried inside of her gourmet salad yesterday afternoon.
According to the New York Post, Robin Sandusky said she was eating her salad from Manhattan's Guy & Gallard at her office when she made the shocking discovery. "After a few bites, I look down at my fork, and think, 'Oh, is that a piece of asparagus?'And then I saw that it had eyes, and an arm," she told the Post.
A frequent Guy & Gallard diner, Sandusky said she's never had any reptilian issues before. "I order from them all the time," she explained. "The same kind of salad at least every day for the last two weeks, and it’s been fine."
Though the Post claims Sandusky received a refund after sending both the head and salad back, the manager (who understandably elected not to be identified) told the New York Daily News that the lizard head was not returned with the salad, but they refunded Sandusky regardless.
Gothamist reached out to Sandusky, who reportedly told them she plans to sue.
