News broke that legendary actor, writer and filmmaker Harold Ramis had passed away today at the age of 69, prompting people to flock to the TriBeCa firehouse where Ghostbusters was filmed to honor Ramis' life and work. The firehouse also showed its appreciation, hanging the infamous Ghostbusters sign in tribute.
A photograph was taken of the sign being hung from the 8th Ladder firehouse in New York City. The firehouse was used as the Ghostbusters headquarters in the classic film, which Ramis co-wrote along with co-star Dan Akroyd. Among Ramis' many director credits was Groundhog Day, which starred friend and other Ghostbusters co-star, Bill Murray.
