To make ensure that businesses are complying with New York City's soda ban, inspectors from the Department of Health will carry around 17-ounce cups to make sure they pass the test. This plan was revealed thanks to an affidavit in a lawsuit filed by the soda companies against the city for imposing the ban. Apparently, this is the 1-ounce margin of error that the ban will grant establishments.
The ban takes affect tomorrow, so prepare for shit to get real.
