George Zimmerman appeared in court today for three minutes total, as Judge Mark Herr scheduled his arraignment and bail hearing for May 29. In the interim, Zimmerman will remain in custody. The Associated Press reports that, wearing a gray prison jumpsuit, Zimmerman “spoke only to answer 'Yes, sir,' after he was asked basic questions about the charge against him and his attorney. He entered no plea.”
His attorney, Mark O’Mara, requested that the judge seal all documents in the case, but the judge will reportedly leave parts of certain files public. Moving forward, they will be sealed, and the news media will most likely challenge this.
