The iPad Mini has some new competition.
Sony just unveiled its new Android-powered tablet, which just so happens to be the "world's thinnest," or so the company claims.
The Xperia Z measures just 0.27 inches thick and weighs 1.1 lb. But it's also dust and water resistant, making it ideal for summer vacations and a formidable rival for the iPad Mini, which measures a full 0.01 inches more, notes The Drum.
Sony plans to debut the so-called "phablet" on Feb. 25 at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
