This is priceless. It's been nearly 40 years since Bill Murray starred as Danny Noonan in the 1980 film Caddyshack. But instead of celebrating the film's legacy with a terrible remake, Murray has reportedly decided to capitalize on fans' interest in nostalgia by opening a Caddyshack bar in the greater Chicago metropolitan area.

Murray and his five brothers are in the planning stages of opening a golf-themed sports bar inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the village of Rosemont, just north of Chicago, the local Daily Herald reports. The bar will reportedly mimic the look and vibe of the country club in the original movie. While nothing is set in stone, planning has been running rather smoothly. Murray and his bros have reportedly received a verbal agreement to use an 11,000-square-foot space, and are just waiting on a written lease from the hotel, according to the Herald.

Murray has not released a statement regarding the bar, but Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens confirmed the report, revealing that he spoke to Andy Murray about opening the sports bar. "We didn't have any space on village-owned property, but I mentioned that the Crowne Plaza space was available. Last I heard, they had tentatively come to terms, but I don't know if they have a signed lease or anything like that," Stephens told the Chicago Tribune.

If the Murray family were to get the green light on the Rosemont opening, this would be the sports bar's second location. The entrepreneurs originally opened their first Caddyshack bar in St. Augustine, Florida in 2001.
