It may have taken longer than expected, but Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Hobbit is finally about to become a reality next year. Even though the movie has been filming for months, there has been very little to show for it so far. Fans have been kept in the dark about the look of most of the characters and the tone of the film; however, according to Digital Spy, that's all about to change.
In a video interview that the site conducted with Elijah Wood to promote Happy Feet 2, the Lord of the Rings veteran stated that the debut teaser trailer for The Hobbit should be attached to Steven Spielberg'sThe Adventures of Tintin when it opens on December 21. The move obviously makes sense being that Jackson is a producer on Tintin, and his special effects company, Weta Digital, is also doing the CGI work on the movie.
This will be the first new footage from Jackson's version of Middle Earth since Return of the King came out nearly nine years ago. Remember, this is a teaser trailer, so there probably won't be too much eye-popping footage shown. But just as long as we have visual evidence that this movie is actually happening, we'll be satisfied.
