Cam'ron's Greatest Social Media Moments

Few rappers are as polarizing as Dipset founder Cam'ron on social media. Last week, after he proudly posted a photo of him "making love" to his fiancee on Instagram ("bustin one ... Made her say hollauah," he wrote), we decided to honor the Harlem native by compiling his greatest online triumphs (there was no short supply of Kim Kardashian hate). To paraphrase Killa: We can't front, Cam's social media game is something to watch.

It wasn't his first tweet, or even the second one. But it's the one that best embodies the cultural Zeitgeist of the digital age. In a response to radio personality Miss Info, Cam offered the now legendary retort, "Minya this twitter shit retarded." Too true, Killa, too true.

It's no secret: Certain rappers are prone to hyperbole. So, in 2010, when Cam admitted to buying his GED to make his mom happy, we were a bit shocked. But the confession would become a staple of his online presence: Regardless of the consequences, honesty is always the best route—even if it's at your own expense.

Sure, Cam'ron's 2003 appearance on The O'Reily Factor—a FOX News show notorious for its ridiculous political ideologies—wasn't social media in nature when it debuted. But 10 years later, his infamous "You mad?" retort (which came during a debate surrounding the effect rap music has on children) has taken on a life of its own. Forty years from now when Mark Zuckerberg Jr. is running the world, Cam'ron's line will be alive and well on the Internet.

This is great for the simple reason that Cam can appreciate a good joke. He posted this to his Instagram a few months ago followed by "Lmfaooo hilarious" and three laughing emojis. After all, it's just the Internet. No need to take it so serious.

Remember that time Cameron Giles, budding documentary filmmaker, taped a woman urinating in public at a gas station? Yeah, the Sundance Film Festival 2014 ain't ready.

Because sometimes it has to be said. We've documented style fails time and again on Complex.com, so it's only right Cam speaks his mind as well. Not that we'd prefer his signature pink fur coat to Kanye's leather skirt, but we have to admit it: We're going to need saving if we keep letting stuff like this happen.

Cam loves a good meme. Even at the height of the Kardashian family's celebrity, Killa reminds us that we should never forget where we come from—and, most importantly, how we got there. Word to Drizzy.

Who doesn't love a good emoji? Or, perhaps a better question might be: Who doesn't love a good emoji that mixes technology and cultural references? CAM GETS IT.

Cam's hate for Kim K may be one of the most entertaining aspects to Twitter and Instagram. And, to be fair, his concerns seem reasonable here. Holding nothing back, he fires off at Kanye's baby momma in one of the most talked about call-outs in recent memory. It is all about the kids. After all, they are our future.

This is what we talk about when we talk about humble brag. Seventeen stripper poles in your crib? Too boot: The two-floor room is accented with red Dipset-themed curtains, sparkling floors, and strobe lights. Talk about setting the mood. When is the reality show coming?

This stands as one of Cam's shining social media moments. It's hard to tell who he loves trolling more, Kim K or Chris Bosh, but Killa's recent unveiling of Mrs. Bosh aka Groupie #47 was pure comedy. Like the old adage goes: What's done in the dark will come to the light.
