One minute you're hanging out in the East Village watching some bizarre street vendor fight go down in the middle of the crosswalk at St. Marks Place and 4th Avenue; the next it's all "You know who that is, right?" and "The guy from the movies, The Notebook" and then "Oh my god it is!."
It's (apparently) true: Ryan Gosling was doing a little afternoon shopping downtown on Saturday when he came across an altercation in the street. He immediately defused the situation, either with his piercing gaze or his chiseled jaw, or some combination of the two. But where was he when this dude fell into the subway?
