Rick and Morty-hive, our time is almost here.

After a year-long break, the first trailer for Rick and Morty Season 5 is finally upon us, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Now you can start asking us about season 6. @RickandMorty returns for season 5 on Sunday, June 20 at 11pm ET/PT on Adult Swim. pic.twitter.com/AatNl0ZRKX

The trailer opens with the entire family together on a classic Rick and Morty quest, something that became more common in Season 4. It then proceeds to jump between different wonky sci-fi adventures that the Adult Swim series has become famous for. We see glimpses of what looks like parodies of Transformers, Power Rangers, and even some callbacks to the crystals that show different realities from the Season 4 opener.

The last season of Rick and Morty was split into two 5-episode halves, with the first batch premiering from November 10 to December 15, 2019, and the second batch airing from May 3 to May 31, 2020. After taking a year off, Season 5 is set to premiere on Adult Swim on June 20, 2021.

The Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland produced show premiered on Adult Swim back in 2013 and has since ballooned to gain a massive, loyal fanbase who are now veterans at waiting extended periods of time for a new season. Watch the new trailer for Rick and Morty Season 5 up top.
