Jon Snow must have a thing for redheads. Or maybe it's redheads that have a thing for Jon Snow. Kit Harington spoke about the upcoming fifth season of Game of Thrones and hinted that Snow and Melisandre will bone. He says his character has little time to mourn the loss of Ygritte at the Battle of Castle Black. The only time she's mentioned in season five is in a scene in which Melisandre comes onto him.

He told EW about Snow's feelings for Melisandre:

"He’s incredibly intrigued by her. I find it endlessly funny that he really fancies redheads. One dies, and another comes along, and he’s all, 'Hello!' There’s mutual interest between them that we see right from the get-go. There’s definitely a future there this season, with him and her. Who knows what Melisandre sees in people, but she’s obviously obsessed with bastards and noble blood. There’s obviously something a bit special about him in this story, and she locks in on that. So this season she tries to seduce him. That’s her power play. It’s going to be an interesting battle!"

Fans of Jon Snow will also be pleased to know the character will be more ubiquitous this season than ever. Harrington thinks this is the first time he's shot more scenes than Peter Dinklage. "I’m really proud of this season," he said. "I think across the board it’s going to be very, very strong."

Look out for season five to premiere April 12.
