With all the nuance and subtlety of a tallboy of Four Loko, last night's PlayStation 4 All Access Event at the Standard Hotel here in New York City counted down to the global midnight release of the PS4.

Naughty Dog, Bungie, Hideo Kojim, and President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America, Jack Tretton were all on hand for the hype show to end all shows for the new consoles roll out. Spike TV aired the event, and in true Spike TV fashion, the Axe Body Spray was almost perceptible through the live-stream.

The event was, as promised, filled with reveals for what awaits PS4 owners in 2014. In case you missed it, here is everything we learned from last night's Spike TV PS4 event. If you missed it, the event is running on a loop from now until the sun extinguishes and brings about the heat death of the known universe.

A New Uncharted Was Announced for the PS4.

The teaser didn't reveal much, and there could be a chance that this might be an Uncharted title with no Nathan Drake as the protagonist.

One thing is for certain: A new Uncharted is coming to the PS4

Naughty Dog posted the following on on the PlayStation blog:

"We have great news for all our Uncharted fans. Amy [Hennig], Justin [Richmond], and the team are hard at work on an amazing new installment of the Uncharted series to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 system. Our goal is to continue what we've done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4."

inFamous: Second Son Will Drop March 21, 2014.

Developer Sucker Punch revealed that inFamous: Second Son will drop exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on March 21, 2014. A new trailer was also released into the wild last night. Second Son is looking increasingly polished everytime we see more of it and is one of the biggest reasons to cop a PS4.

Destiny Beta Heads to PS3 and PS4 Owners First.

Through a new partnership between Bungie, Activision, and PlayStation, Pete Parsons of Bungie dropped the news that Destiny will grant the first access beta to both PS3 and PS4 owners in early 2014.

The Last of Us: Left Behind Story DLC Will Star Ellie.

Naughty Dog cracked more than one skull during last night's Spike TV event. After dropping the news that a new Uncharted title was heading to the PS4, they announced the new story DLC for The Last of Us.

The DLC will be a prequel focusing on a fully playable Ellie and her friend Riley back during their days together in the quarantine zone. Posted this morning on the PlayStation Blog is even more about the early 2014 DLC:

"The Last of Us: Left Behind is Naughty Dog's first ever single-player DLC. Bruce, Neil, and the rest of the team are getting close to wrapping work on this new campaign, which will meet the quality and gameplay what you've come to expect with The Last of Us, along with a few surprises."

"She's back! Ashley Johnson reprises her role as Ellie in The Last of Us: Left Behind single-player DLC. Left Behind takes place while Ellie is attending a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone, prior to meeting Joel and the events in the main campaign of The Last of Us."

"In just a few short months since the release of The Last of Us, you have made it clear that Ellie has become one of your favorite characters in games. Today, we're excited to confirm that you play as Ellie throughout the entirety of Left Behind."

"Joining Ellie on this new adventure is Riley, her best friend and also a mentor of sorts at the military boarding school. Just as The Last of Us focused on the bond between Ellie and Joel, Left Behind explores the bond between Ellie and Riley through a series of events that will forever change both of their lives."

Bringing Riley to life through our performance capture process is the talented Yaani King, who we had the pleasure of working with on the DLC.

If you just can't wait until the DLC drops to get more of The Last of Us, go out immediately and read the Dark Horse comic series, The Last of Us: American Dreams – which is conveniently available in the recently released paperback collection. I cannot recommend this series enough and it's even more relevant now, as in the comic you will learn more about how Ellie and Riley first became friends, giving you even more insight into Ellie's story in The Last of Us universe. And it's also just plain great!

The Last of Us: Left Behind will be releasing in early 2014 – we will announce a specific date as soon as we iron out all the details."

Classic PS1 Snake Will Be Playable in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

The Last Guardian exists...

And finally, the long delayed The Last Guardian from Team Ico was kind of, sort of confirmed to exist in a maybe playable build. Hopefully.

Spike's Geoff Keighley asked Sony's Shuhei Yoshida and Adam Boyes whether they had seen the game. To which Yoshida responded,

"It looks pretty."

Cool. So did either of them actually play the game? Yoshida, like a bashful seahorse, giggled his response,

"I did pick up the controller."

Yoshida and Boyes awkwardly laughed in unison will masking their secret love for one another in lieu of an actual confirmation of the title's release on either the PS3 or the PS4.
