Nintendo Introduces the 2DS, Drops the Price of Wii U

Nintendo has just announced the launch of the  Nintendo 2DS, a new more ecnomically priced version of the Nintendo 3DS model. They got rid of the third dimension and passed the savings on to you!

The newly redesigned handheld console will play the entire library of phsysical and digital 3DS titles, but now only in two dimensions. Here's what she looks like:

The Nintendo 2DS wil contain the same hardware features as the Nintendo 3DS. Touch screen game-play, dual screens, and a library of over 2000 virtual console titles are all being pushed by the new console. The Nintendo 2DS will launch on October 12 for $129.99.

Additionally, Nintendo will be offering a $50 price cut for the 32GB version of the Wii U in North America and Europe just in time for the holiday season, according to Reuters. What do you think?
