Seriously though, we keep fucking dying. The entire Souls series prides itself on a masochistic feedback loop that only appeals to a very specific type of gamer. A gamer who hopes to devote themselves to one of the most cryptically difficult and monstrously challenging series of titles to make their way to U.S. consoles.

Prior to the recent release of Dark Souls II, fans of the original Demon Souls, and the follow-up Dark Souls, were concerned that Bandai Namco would be refining some of the more difficult components of the series in an attempt to 'appeal to a wider audience'. This ire was obviously misplaced as Dark Souls II is still FUCKING INFURIATINGLY DIFFICULT.
