Eddie Murphy will officially be reprising his role as Prince Akeem in the upcoming sequel of the 1988 film Coming to America, and now we have our first look. Well, sort of.

Acclaimed costume designer Ruth E. Carter posted a photo of Murphy and co-star Arsenio Hall while at a fitting on Instagram Monday, confirming that the second installment of the hilarious film has officially started production. Carter is seen holding the Academy Award she won earlier this year for her wardrobe contributions to the film Black Panther.

"GOOD MORNING MY NEIGHBORS!" Carter captioned the post. "It's official! Preliminary fitting for Coming to America 2 with Prince Akeem Semmi and Oscar."

The 1988 film is centered around a wealthy African prince from the fictional country of Zamunda who travels to New York in his search for an intelligent, self-sufficient wife. The film was nominated for two Oscars: Best Costume Design by Deborah Nadoolman and Best Makeup by Rick Baker

Hall played the role of Murphy's right-hand man and best friend, with Murphy, naturally, playing the beloved prince. In addition to the dynamic duo, James Earl Jones will reportedly portray King Jaffe Joffer. It remains unclear whether Shari Headley will return for the sequel, however the original film concluded with her becoming the Princess of Zamunda.

The film became a quote-able staple in pop culture, inspiring actual kings and queens to dress up as the prince and his beloved for Halloween.

According to Uproxxthe film is set to hit theaters on August 7, 2020.
