Not too long after Adult Swim officially announced the release date for The Boondocks' long awaited fourth season, the foundation beneath fans' feet crumbled a bit: News broke that creator of the comic strip and the television show, Aaron McGruder,wasn't involved in the upcoming season.
McGruder has been mum on the reason why he left the show until now. Indiewire reports that McGruder released a statement on his Facebook page for his upcoming series, Black Jesus, stating that fatigue and seeking a new artistic endeavor are the reasons why he ceased involvement on the show.

The fourth season of The Boondocks airs on Adult Swim on April 21, and McGruder's upcoming live action comedy, Black Jesus, is currently in production.
