Warner Bros. Pictures released a new 30-second trailer for the much-anticipated Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. It’s electrifying and full of stinging one-liners like, “This bat vigilante is like a one-man reign of terror.”
There’s also fire, darkness, and epic shots of Batman and Superman coming face-to-face. Superman is on a mission to extinguish his rival in this trailer.
“The next time they shine your light in the sky, don’t go to it,” the Krypton superhero says. “The bat is dead. Bury it.” Ouch.
Superman’s alter ego is also on a mission to use the power of the press to shine a light on his imminent battle with Batman. His boss isn’t on board.
“The press has to do the right thing,” Kent tells his editor.
“You don’t get to decide what the right thing is,” Kent’s editor, played by Lawrence Fishburne, retorts. “Nobody cares about Clark Kent taking on the Batman.”
He’s right. Clark Kent exposing Batman in the newspaper isn’t entertaining. However, Superman battling Batman and destroying Earth in the process has piqued many comic book-lovers interest.
March 25 can’t come soon enough.
