And here you thought the only thing Ryan Gosling did was wear Macaulay Culkin-themed t-shirts.
Making its debut at Cannes this week, Gosling's directorial debut film (entitled Lost River) stars Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks as a single mom who gets embroiled in the criminal underworld and Iain De Caestecker as her son, who happens to stumble upon an underwater town. We’re guessing this is all a metaphor, somehow.
The teaser doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense, but that is probably by design. There’s stuff on fire, kids running, and a lot of empty, abandoned-looking, somewhat creepy spaces. If you’re into that sort of thing, here you go:
