As he continues to recover from his near-fatal June accident and now begins his legal battle against Walmart, Tracy Morgan is facing a deeply uncertain future.
While getting back onstage is secondary to his own day-to-day wellbeing, there’s no doubt that America would love to see Morgan perform once again. That may not happen, though, according to his lawyer Benedict Morelli.
In an interview with Page Six, Morelli said that Morgan still has a long way to go in his recovery before he could even consider returning to comedy. As for whether that’s even a legitimate possibility at this point, he said that “The jury’s still out. The doctors don’t know the answer. I don’t know the answer.”
As for Walmart, Morelli had some harsh words for them too after their harsh rebuke of Morgan and his fellow passengers yesterday. “These people are despicable,” he said. “They knew that they changed these people’s lives forever and killed somebody...they’re good blame shifters. I guess that’s how they make $783 billion a year, shifting the blame.”
Hopefully, Morgan’s recovery continues and he can get back onstage soon.
