Best known for remixing other people's beats, rapper Flo Rida has gotten into the tech game with a new device called 'Beamz by Flo'. Sound like something familiar?
The device is a laser instrument with four beams that is played simply by putting your hand through one of the beams, which all let off different sounds, depending on the type of musical setting. Beamz' settings include: rock, pop, hip-hop and classical. Given that Flo Rida's shtick is a gimmick, it's no surprise that the giant-sized rapper decided that this is the product that he wanted to attach his name to, since Beamz transforms hard work and talent into an expensive adult version of a Fisher Price keyboard.
Beamz by Flo is compatible with PCs, Macs, iPhones and iPads, and retails for $200 plus shipping, with a 30 day money back guarantee. It might be worth it to test this out just to return it, as it seems more like a toy for kindergartener than a legitimate musical device.
