Looks like we could have something we can look forward to this summer.

Coronavirus is turning out to be quite the headache for television bosses across the country, with hit shows like Coronation Street, Emmerdale and EastEnders all slowing down the production of their episodes. Now, it looks like the same thing is about to happen to the UK's favourite reality shows.

The ITV2 dating show, Love Island, is still set to be hitting our screens this year, with episodes being filmed in the UK as opposed to the usual spot of Mallorca in Spain, Varietyreports. And the same setup could also be made for ITV reality show, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, which shoots in Australia. Love Island fans should expect a delay on the series by up to eight weeks, with filming expected to start in August.

Summer 2020 looks like it could still have something worth looking forward to, but instead of an hour-long trip to Spain once a night from our living rooms, we'll have to make do with the singles sharing their types on paper a little closer to home.
