Kojima Productions held a special Zone of the Enders-themed press event in Tokyo yesterday, announcing that the long-awaited HD remakes of Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders 2 would hit Japanese shelves on October 25th. The collection is also coming stateside this fall, though no international release dates have been announced.

As exciting as that is, Kojima managed to overshadow the upcoming re-release with news about a new Zone of the Enders game. Kojima announced that the studio has begun working a sequel they referred to as Ender's Project. The studio is designing the game using the Fox Engine, to "convert" physical models into 3D digital ones.

Based on the image above, I'm guessing that Ender's Project is being going to be a next-gen affair. Hopefully we'll be seeing more of it sooner rather than later.
