Konami UK has shot down rumors that the publisher unveiled Metal Gear Solid 5 at Comic-Con last weekend.
Commenters on Reddit claiming to have seen the announcement provided a fake title screen as "proof" of the big reveal.
Konami UK responded to the thread this morning, tweeting; "Fake or real, we love a bit of speculation!"
Just to be safe, Konami tweeted again to clarify that the image is fake, and that the announcement never actually occurred:
"Seriously, just in case the #pinch #salt hashtags weren't enough - the chap who claims to have set up the fake rumours has been in touch."
