Remember the original “Google Videos”? It was a bit of an outlaw and unfiltered, almost like a midpoint between YouTube and WorldStar. Then Google snapped up YouTube and rendered “Videos” redundant and irrelevant.
Now, Google is finally bringing back “Videos” in the form of an Android app. No longer a platform for user-uploaded videos, it’s more in line with a Netflix, offering more than 3,000 premium movie titles for rental. And while the app isn’t available just yet, it made its way into Android Market Sunday night briefly before disappearing. Thus, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if it’s out officially very, very soon. No word on pricing yet.
