None
Whether you want to believe or not, summer is coming to a close. This of course, is hardly any reason to mope around. Labour Day is around the corner, and that means that there’s one more chance to have the ultimate summer bash. Have you been neglecting a get-together? Are you itching to let loose and make awesome summer memories? Then fret no longer, because we’ve prepared the only list you’ll need to throw the best Labour Day party ever.
Assemble The Crew
No one is going to have a good time partying by themselves. Make sure you invite the whole squad out, and make sure you do so in advance. Avoid scrambling last minute. Nobody appreciates getting an invite the day of, especially if this party is going to be a rager. And since this is going to be the best bash of the summer, don’t be hesitant with the invites. Make sure you get everyone out to really make it popping.
Pour Some Drinks
Make sure you’re well stocked with the liquor and beer. No one likes standing around without a nice cold one in their hands, so why should your party be any different? Heck, you might as well get fancy too. Bring out some mixers, and have somebody on the hand blender to dish out iced refreshments. Need some help? Check out our list of end-of-summer cocktail recipes. It is summer after all, so keep the beverages frosty.
Get Some Grub
So you have the drinks, but do you have the snacks? Partying on an empty stomach might just be one of the worst ideas we’ve ever heard. You don’t have to go all out for this one, but having some bowls and trays of finger food will make everyone happy campers. Maybe throw together some sliders? They’re like mini burgers, you guys. How awesome is that?
Crank Up The Bass
Have you ever seen a bunch of people partying in silence? Of course not! That’s why you need to have the playlist ready. If you’re willing, upgrade your aux cord to a fully-functioning sound system. The leveling up of speakers will do wonders for the party atmosphere. You can even take requests in advance and queue up everyone’s party anthems. Their reactions to hearing their favourite jams will be priceless.
Make Sure There’s A Last Call
Remember that you are in charge of this event. This also means that you’re responsible for the mess afterwards. There’s a way to make this fairly painless, and that’s to call it quits at a reasonable time. You know the saying “nothing good happens after 2AM”? Live by that quote. Things are bound to get a little sloppy a couple hours after midnight, so prepare to wind it down around then.
