UPDATED 7/14, 10:20 a.m. ET: Millie Bobby Brown’s representatives shared told TMZ that Hunter Echo (real surname Ecimovic) is spouting falsities and that the team is “taking action to ensure that he stops this behavior.”
“Mr. Ecimovic’s remarks on social media are not only dishonest, but also are irresponsible, offensive and hateful,” the Stranger Things and Enola Holmes star’s reps said. “Instead of engaging in a public discourse with him through the press or on social media, we are taking action to ensure that he stops this behavior once and for all.”
TMZ checked with Los Angeles law enforcement sources and didn’t find any open investigations against Ecimovic.
In a brief apology, the 20-year-old conceded on video that making the comments was a “stupid idea,” he was getting “more and more drunk” throughout a multi-hour livestream, and “said stuff that should’ve never been said.” At the same time, he feels “people are trying to make it 10 times worse, there’s already stories that are completely not correct, were never said, um, it’s all being fabricated because that’s what happens, apparently.”
“The livestream, I am sorry for,” he said in closing. “I’m not proud of at all how I spoke, it sounded very immature, looked horrible on my family, it looked horrible on me, it looked horrible on my friends.”

A 20-year-old TikTok star is facing backlash this week over his lewd comments about Millie Bobby Brown—the Stranger Things star he allegedly began dating when she was 16.
The controversy seemingly began Monday, when Hunter Echo—legal name Hunter Ecimovic—took to Instagram Live to address his rumored relationship with 17-year-old Brown. Hunter claimed he was romantically involved with the teen actress, but insisted it was she who initiated the romance and suggested her parents never objected to the relationship.
Portions of Hunter’s stream have been shared on the Instagram account @exposinghunterecho.
“I have nothing to apologize for, so make that clear. I have zero things to apologize for. You guys do not know a single thing at all ...” he told viewers, before addressing the rumored lawsuit filed by Brown’s parents. “There’s no lawsuit at all. I was living at Millie’s house for eight months. How the fuck is that a lawsuit? Her fam—mom and dad knew about everything.”
Hunter, who has more than 1.6 million TikTok followers, also made a number of crude remarks about the British actress and their alleged sexual relationship. At one point during the broadcast, a user wrote, “That child knew how to suck dick,” prompting Hunter to respond, “She did.” He also claimed that Brown had “manipulated” him and that everything he did was “completely legal,” and “approved by everyone [he] was with.” Hunter is reportedly based in California, where the age of consent is 18.
Another user commented, “Imagine being a grown adult and dating a kid. A groomer,” to which Hunter reportedly replied, “Yeah, no I groomed her.”
