Ariana Grande Seemingly Threw Shade at Her Ex-Fiancé Pete Davidson

Fans are convinced the singer subtweeted the comedian, after he joked about their failed relationship in an 'SNL' promo.

Did Ariana Grande just take a jab at Pete Davidson? It definitely looks that way.

Weeks after the former couple ended their four-month engagement, Davidson appeared in a Saturday Night Live promo in which he playfully proposed to this week's musical guest Maggie Rogers. When the singer-songwriter declined, a defeated Davidson responded "0 for 3"—an obvious joke about his and Grande's failed relationship. Though it's unclear who the third woman Davidson referenced, many fans suspect it was one of his ex-girlfriends Cazzie David or Carly Aquilino.

Shortly after the promo's release, Grande hit up Twitter with a vague, but shady message: "for somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh." The tweet was deleted moments later, but that was just enough time for fans to put two and two together.

Grande and Davidson confirmed their engagement just weeks after they reportedly started dating. They eventually called it quits in mid-October, following the death of Grande's former boyfriend Mac Miller. Insiders claimed the tragedy played a big role in their split.

Per TMZ: "In the aftermath of Mac's death, our sources say Ariana realized a couple of things—she couldn't be fully invested in her relationship with Pete, and she had rushed into a looming marriage way too fast by getting engaged."
