Alec Baldwin returned to 'Saturday Night Live' to show us just how unprepared Donald Trump is to be president.

This weekend, it’s become increasingly clear that Donald Trump and the machinery that surrounds him is coming unhinged, with potential scandals, Twitter tirades, and problematic decision-making lurking around every corner. That makes a show like Saturday Night Live’s job challenging. The writers, and to a lesser extent the cast, have to stay on their toes, ready to add a joke—or maybe an entire sketch—at the eleventh hour if Donald Trump or one of his associates does or says something totally insane.

That was very much the case on Saturday, when the show welcomed back Alec Baldwin and his sublime Trump impression, for a cold open ripped straight from the morning’s headlines. The sketch opened at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, which is where the President-elect has been conducting meetings all weekend.

Jason Sudeikis showed up as Mitt Romney for an incredibly awkward meeting that ended with a mutual realization that “This isn’t going to work, is it?” Kate McKinnon killed it as Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, who looked gobsmacked by the realization that she helped condemn the country to four years of a Trump presidency. Last but not least, Beck Bennett appeared as Mike Pence, and in an impressive display of the show’s flexibility, mocked the Hamilton scandal that only became national news earlier that day.

One person unimpressed by SNL's dexterity was Trump, who tweeted that he’d watched “parts” of the show, which he found “totally one-sided” and “biased” while asking for “equal time,” something Alec Baldwin had to remind him was only a thing during elections.

I watched parts of @nbcsnl Saturday Night Live last night. It is a totally one-sided, biased show - nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?

It appears Trump may have missed a later sketch in which SNL took aim at CNN’s Trump-bashing political punditry team. Not only was it funny (come for Kenan Thompson as Van Jones, stay for the Westworld-inspired punch line), but it also makes fun of CNN, and Donald Trump hates CNN! Hopefully last night’s episode will be enough to convince Trump that instead of watching and tweeting about a show that he deems mean, one-sided, and worst of all, unfunny, he should probably focus on learning how to run a country, instead.
