Three men and a woman in England are on trial for the murder of a 63-year-old man, and the details of what they're accused of are ... let's just say there's a lot going on.
Prosecutors opened the trial by accusing Aaron Mallen, 24, Michelle Casterton, 43, and Daniel Quinn, 23, and Richard Rosevear, 33, of moving in with Terry Oldham, feeding him a curry made with dog feces, and eventually sexually assaulting him with a broom handle, which led to his death, the BBC reports.
From the Mirror, here's what the prosecutor said:
"Mallen, Casterton and Quinn were laughing and said that Richard Rosevear woke them up and said that Terry was dead and they all went back to sleep before getting up to see what had happened.
The group is also accused of stealing Oldham's money and possessions and keeping him in fear so he wouldn't say anything.
"They knew he was a convicted sex offender so viewed him as fair game," a prosecuting attorney reportedly said.
Oldham had been convicted of indecently assaulting a girl under 14 back in 1987.
