Instructor Accidentally Shoots Student During Gun Safety Class

Guns are dangerous, which is apparently why we need gun safety classes. Except sometimes the guy teaching the class shoots you in the abdomen.

Police say that's what happened to pastor Tom Smith in Modesto, Calif., who was taking a class taught by a parishioner at his church, according to CBS News.

In California it's not uncommon for church security to carry concealed weapons in the wake of recent mass shootings, the network reported.

Smith is expected to survive his injuries, but let's just say things might be a little awkward on Sunday.
