PROMO: Who Killed Biggie & Tupac? USA’s New Series Takes a Look at Those Infamous and Unsolved Cases

Ludacris and Mack Wilds sat down with the show’s E.P. at this past year’s ComplexCon.

There is probably no greater mystery that looms over the world of hip-hop—and popular culture in general—than the unsolved dual-murders of Biggie and Tupac. Now, USA Network has decided to delve into the investigations surrounding both deaths with its upcoming 10-part dramatic series, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.
During ComplexCon 2017, Unsolved’s Director & Executive Producer Anthony Hemingway (The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, Underground, Shameless) and Co-Producer & Music Supervisor Lyah Leflore sat down for an informative panel called "The Art of Storytelling: Hip-Hop On Screen." Moderated by special guest host and American civil rights activist DeRay Mckesson, the panel also featured Atlanta rapper turned Hollywood action hero Ludacris, recording artist and actor Mack Wilds, and actress, producer, and Emmy-winning screenwriter Lena Waithe—who recently co-created Showtime’s gritty new series The Chi. The all-star group dove into a deep discussion with Unsolved’s key creative minds about the challenges and goals behind attempting to dissect such an infamous story on screen.
You can catch a portion of the conversation in the video above, and be sure to watch the series premiere of Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. on February 27th at 10 PM, only on USA.
