Romeo Miller says he's leaving his old life behind. The actor, rapper, and entrepreneur revealed this week that he was baptized again as an adult during Father's Day weekend at Higher Dimension Church in Texas, calling the emotional experience alongside his daughters "a true Father's Day gift" and admitting he spent years believing he had to fix himself before fully committing to God.
"The closer I got to God, the further I realized I was," Miller wrote on Instagram while sharing photos and video from the ceremony. "Getting rebaptized back home down south as an adult alongside my daughters was an ethereal experience—a true Father's Day gift that I will never forget."
For the 36-year-old, the moment represented more than a symbolic dip in the water. He said it completely changed the way he views faith after decades of reading the Bible.
"It took me 36 years of reading the Bible to realize that Jesus doesn't want us to be perfect; He just wants us to be NEW," he wrote. "I delayed this moment thinking I had to fix everything first, but the moment I submitted and rose from that water, chains that I thought would take years to break were shattered instantly."
That realization led to perhaps the biggest declaration in his lengthy post.
"Any day before this baptism was the old me," Miller wrote. "Doing things our own way never adds up. True transformation starts when you stop listening to the world and prioritize your relationship with the one who chooses you over and over, flaws and all, and that's GOD."
The son of Master P has spoken openly about his Christian faith over the years, but his latest post marks one of his most personal reflections yet. Miller said years of trying to control every aspect of his life gave way to a simple message rooted in Proverbs 3:5-6.
"The clearest message I received was simple: JUST LET GO," he wrote, before adding another line that quickly resonated with followers: "Every storm isn't meant to ruin you; some are meant to rinse and redirect you."
He ended the post by thanking the Johnson family, Higher Dimension Church, and, most importantly, his daughters for sharing the milestone with him.
"We all can be redeemed!" Miller wrote. "Just WoW, what a gift from my girls!... God Knows. Steady growing."
