Pete Davidson showed up on The Tonight Show Wednesday, where he told Jimmy Fallon about that infamous SoundCloud rap sketch on Saturday Night Live.

Late last year, Davidson appeared in the sketch with Timothée Chalamet, in which they portrayed obnoxious SoundCloud rappers who got some tough love from Questlove. “He got to hit me, which was cool,” Davidson said of Questlove’s cameo. “I asked him if he would really hit me, and he said no,” he added.

Questlove also chimed in from his perch at The Tonight Show.

“He told me to hit him for real… He told me, ‘I don’t feel it, hit me for real,’” he said. “What are you talking about? I thought it’d be cool for the sketch,” Davidson replied.

Earlier in his interview, Davidson recalled how he accidentally helped former SNL regular Alec Baldwin lose 100 pounds after giving him fake workout advice. "I was on set and Alec was hosting and it was a sketch where I had to be shirtless. And, you know, I guess I'm a little bit cut or whatever," Davidson said with a laugh while admitting there was "no nice way" to say that. "So he came up to me and he was like, 'What do you do?' And I didn't want to be rude and say, 'I just still have a metabolism. I'm not in my mid-50s.' So to make him feel better, I said, 'Oh man, I do 100 push ups and 100 sit ups every day.'"

After Baldwin got hired to play Trump on a regular basis for the show, Davidson said he ran into him more frequently. "Then he got the [Donald] Trump gig and so I would see him every week," he continued, "And every time I'd run into him in the hall, he'd be like, '100 a day!' And he started to do it and he lost like 100 pounds. And he says it's all because of me."

Davidson also spoke about what convinced him to join James Gunn’s the Suicide Squad. He was told that his character would be called Richard Hurts, or as he said, “Dick Hurts? I’m in.”

Davidson capped off his appearance with the Random Instrument Challenge alongside Fallon, which you can watch below.
