The tension is running high for Tony Bravo in the season finale of "Matador."

The first rule of being a CIA operative who's posing as a star soccer player: Never open the door to your apartment with your back fully turned.
The star of El Rey Network's Matador, Tony Bravo (Gabriel Luna), doesn't exactly follow that axiom in the season one finale—premiering tonight—and he gets a switchblade to the gut from a very pretty girl for his troubles. But since the second rule of being a CIA operative is always be able to talk yourself out of a situation, Bravo manages to get the "lovely" lady to lower her weapon so they can chat.
Such is life for a guy living a double life as a soccer player/spy.
The season finale of Matador (directed by Robert Rodriguez) premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET on El Rey Network. Be careful who you turn your back to.
