Pharrell Says ‘Blurred Lines’ Lawsuit Set Him Back, Does 21 Savage Have a Hit? |Everyday Struggle

On Tuesday’s (Nov. 5) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks kick off the show giving a recap of their 2019 ComplexCon experience at Long Beach, and answer a few fan questions in response to their Game interview from over the weekend. Next, the EDS trio speaks on the recent interview with Rick Rubin and Pharrell where they discuss the new rules of plagiarism in music and how it’s “bad for business.” Afterwards, the trio determine the fate of newly released songs from 21 Savage, Trippie Redd and Vince Staples in their ‘Brick, Hit or Wait on It’ segment. Later in the show, DJ Akademiks goes through the Billboard sale numbers of projects from Kanye West, Dababy, Post Malone, Youngboy Never Broke Again and Young Thug in his ‘Ak by the Numbers’ segment. Soon after, the EDS crew comments on Boosie Badazz’s reaction to the re-launched Popeyes chicken sandwich. To close out the show, the EDS squad weighs in on the White teacher who wore Blackface for Halloween at high school to portray rapper Common and  Kodak Black’s reported fight in prison.
