UPDATED 11/13, 12:45 p.m. ET: Disney announced that it signed up 10 million accounts on launch day for its Disney+ streaming service, which houses huge collections of Star Wars films, Marvel Cinematic Universe installments, animated classics, and tons more.
A press release from the company, as reported by CNN's Frank Pallotta, reads, "Disney+, the highly anticipated streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, has already reached a major milestone, achieving a remarkable 10 million sign-ups since launching.”

Disney dropped a bomb in the streaming wars when its highly anticipated Disney+ streaming service launch on Tuesday.
While the streaming service is packed to the brim with shows for all ages, the current stars of Disney+ may be Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles. Subscribers are taking to social media, where they're rekindling their love for these classic cartoons and celebrating the prospect of the shows getting the recognition they deserve in 2019.
Along with its extensive collection of cartoons, Disney+ also features original content as well as films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars. Additionally, most of the Disney Channel Original Movies and Pixar films are on the streaming service. This assortment of entertainment is overwhelming subscribers, in a good way.
