Vin Diesel is Marine Ray Garrison in Bloodshot, the Sony Pictures production based on the wildly popular Valiant Comics character of the same name.

The Fast & Furious alum is joined in the cast for the Dave Wilson-directed movie by Guy Pearce, Eiza González, Sam Heughan, and Toby Kebbell. At one point in its development, the Bloodshot movie was discussed as being part of a larger Valiant Comics cinematic universe, though plans for such a thing are not currently clear.

"This is the film we’ve always wanted to make and there’s a great team involved in every facet . . . And I really have to sing the praises of Dave Wilson," Bob Layton, Bloodshot co-creator, told Deadline last year. "He is an amazingly humble man. With [Bloodshot co-creator] Kevin VanHook and I, Wilson was incredibly conscientious towards us, allowing more access to the shoot than any other director I’ve worked with."

Though Bloodshot won't hit theaters until Feb. 21, Sony has already hit us with a new trailer up top.

Earlier this month, we learned that the production included a search for a Vin Diesel "sound-alike." Per THR, the filmmakers were looking for a "stunt-talker" whose voice could mimic Diesel's as closely as possible. The search was conducted to use the voice as a voiceover stand-in for test screening prints, while Diesel's actual voice would be utilized for the final cut.
