As expected, the next Westworld chapter will come with major changes.

During day two of San Diego Comic-Con, HBO released the Season 3 trailer for Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy's sci-fi drama series. While the first two seasons were dubbed "The Maze" and "The Door," respectively, Nolan announced Saturday that the third season will be appropriately titled "The New World," as it leaves the Wild West theme park for the American west coast.

The nearly three-minute clips shows Delores (Evan Rachel Wood) back in her original body, navigating the real world alongside construction worker Caleb, portrayed by series newcomer Aaron Paul. We also get a glimpse at the drama unfolding at the Delos facility, Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) plotting to take down Delores, as well as Maeve (Thandie Newton) serving as host in a WWII theme park.

"When we started, Westworld was a dystopia. Three seasons in, I think it's the best case scenario, to be perfectly honest," Nolan said during the show's Comic-Con panel discussion. "The form of AI we have on the show is thoughtful. Murderous, but thoughtful. I think we're now heading into the era of dumb artificial intelligence [...] In season three, we discard with metaphor and deal with the world as it is: a giant shit show."

Joy added: "Our civilizations have evolved. The solutions we can find for the things that keep us somewhat primitive and base and ugly in our desires can improve and become more sophisticated. Sometimes there's a disconnect between that. My car can drive, but we can't get rid of violence."
