Jaden Smith, like so many of us, is losing his respective shit over the recently confirmed casting of Robert Pattinson as the new, post-Affleck Batman.

The ERYS artist and recent recipient of quite the Shia LaBeouf shout-out was asked about the casting move in a new Rolling Stone interview, an inquiry to which he responded with understandably high levels of enthusiasm.

"Oh my gosh, I don't even know what to say," Jaden, a known Batman enthusiast, said. "Amazing things are happening every day that you don't even know. I don't even know. I'm at a loss for words with how excited I am for him. It has to happen. It has to fucking happen. He will be the best Batman. I'm losing my fucking shit."

The Pattman was confirmed as an official thing that’s really happening at the tail end of May, with Matt Reeves' take on the Gotham icon set for a June 25, 2021 theatrical drop. Previously, amid much debate, since-exited man of bats Ben Affleck was set to direct.

Anyway, the Jaden x RS interview also boasts plenty of non-Batman elements worth your time. Jaden discussed how Tyler, the Creator inspired him to seek out "more old music," what he learned from Pete Wentz and company while out on the road with Fall Out Boy, crafting magic with Kid Cudi, and much more.

Cudi and Jaden, notably, exchanged shout-outs surrounding the ERYS drop.
