The anticipation for Spider-Man: Far From Home is getting stronger and stronger.
With less than two weeks away from the film's U.S. premiere, critics' early reactions have started to pour in on social media. And the verdicts have been overwhelming positive, with many praising the flick's action scenes, comedic writing, and star-studded cast—most notably Jake Gyllenhaal, who makes his MCU debut as the villain Mysterio.
The 38-year-old actor stars alongside Zendaya, Samuel L. Jackson, Jon Favreau, and Tom Holland, who reprises his role as the titular superhero.
Far From Home, directed by Jon Watts, is the follow-up to 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming. The story will reportedly take place following the events of Avengers: Endgame, in which Peter Parker's mentor, Tony Stark, sacrificed himself to defeat Thanos.
