Game of Thrones released 20 new character posters on Thursday, illustrating the breadth of possible characters who could end up sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of the eighth season.

The marketing campaign, which was initially launched on Twitter, showcases the remaining players who have a stake in ruling Westeros. While many contenders seem fairly obvious, like Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, or Arya Stark, all of the show's principle characters are seen sitting at the helm of the Seven Kingdoms, seemingly emphasizing the tumultuous nature of the game of thrones. In all honesty, if the Euron Greyjoy ends up seizing the throne, Game of Thrones fans far and wide will find themselves gasping for air.

"Win or die #ForTheThrone," the official Game of Thrones account tweeted. "Retweet this tweet to see who remains in the realm." The pictures showcased are reminiscent of the first season of the series, in which Lord Eddard Stark sits on the throne before being savagely beheaded by that little devil Joffrey Baratheon. Not only is it illustrative of how far the series has come since its inception, it also demonstrates how quickly power dynamics can shift.

The show also announced that each one of the characters will be given their own respective emojis paired with their personalized hashtags. As we all wait patiently for the return of the eighth and final season, we will likely be given more teasers before April 14.
