At EVO 2018Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada and game designer Michael Murray revealed that Anna Williams and Lei Wong will both be returning to the game alongside a surprise addition: Negan from AMC’s The Walking Dead series.

At the end of a new promotional trailer for the Season Pass 2 game update, an ominous message flashes on the screen that says, "You thought you were safe." Then Negan's recognizable silhouette appears as he delivers a classic Walking Dead line, "Little pig, little pig, let me in."

The trailer only includes a quick glance at player art for Negan, so we'll have to wait for a closer look at how he operates during in-game action. The idea of running wild with Negan's signature barbed wire bat, Lucille, is already getting Tekken fans excited about picking the game back up, though.

The trailer ends with the message: "You can breathe. You can blink. You can cry. Hell, you're all going to be doing that."

The release date for Tekken 7 Season Pass 2 has not yet been announced, but the game's developers promise it will be arriving "soon." Tekken 7 is the ninth installment in the long-running Tekken series and was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in June 2017. The game launched with a default roster of 20 playable characters, with more being added over time.
