You might want to tune in to this week’s episode of Power on Sunday, July 29 on Starz...that is, if you want to see none other than Kendrick Lamar as a guest star.

Per TV Line, there are currently no details about how K-Dot will figure into the show or how big his role will be in his TV acting debut. There is, however, one small hint: even if you know nothing about Power, you’re still likely aware that 50 Cent is one of the show’s stars, and Starz has already indicated that the Compton rapper will share scenes with Kanan, 50’s character. A promo for the episode teases an "unlikely friend" of Kanan's making an appearance, and this can pretty much only mean Lamar.

This Sunday… A special guest is coming to #PowerTV.

What we do know, however, is the episode title—“Happy Birthday”—and its synopsis. Per TV Line, the episode will see “the St. Patricks gathered to celebrate Tariq’s first birthday since Raina’s death. Tasha, meanwhile, finds a shoulder to cry on in Terry Silver; Ghost begins acting reckless after learning that Dre is ready to replace him in the legitimate world; and Kanan and Tariq bond over their shared mistrust of Ghost.”

“Kendrick is a once-in-a-generation talent and [series creator] Courtney [A. Kemp], 50, and I felt it would be exciting to create a role for him in Power,” executive producer Mark Canton said in a statement. “Everyone involved is thrilled to have him join the family.”

This won’t exactly be the first time Kung Fu Kenny will be on the television screen, as we’ve come to expect his appearance on some late night shows and awards ceremonies, but per his IMDb page, Sunday’s episode will mark the rapper’s first time appearing on a fictional television show in the U.S.
