Better Call Saul isn’t leaving the small screen—at least, not anytime soon.
During the TCA Summer press tour Saturday, AMC confirmed the hit Breaking Bad prequel would return for season five. The announcement arrives just days before Better Call Saul kicks off its fourth season, which will reportedly include a long-awaited Breaking Bad crossover.
“We have a subplot that very squarely gets into Breaking Bad territory and brings us into the world—or at least points us on a path toward the world of Walter White and the territory of Walter White,” co-creator Gilligan told Entertainment Weekly this month. “I can’t wait for folks to see that.”
Neither can we.
During the TCA presentation this weekend, Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk decided to promote the series with a, uh, fairly cheeky stunt. The 55-year-old actor stood up on stage, dropped trou, and revealed a presumably fake ass tattoo of the season-four premiere date.
“I’m a real company man,” Odenkirk jokingly told the crowd. “I thought, ‘Where can I put this where everyone can see it?’”
You can catch the Better Call Saul season-four premiere at 9 p.m. Aug. 6 on AMC.
The network also announced the season five renewal for Fear the Walking Dead as well as the season two renewal for McMafia.
