Seth Rogen Says He Rejected a Paul Ryan Photo Op in Front of His Kids

On 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,' Seth Rogen told the host about a time he denied taking a photo with the Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, in front if his kids.

Seth Rogen is used to fans coming up to him to ask for autographs and photos, but probably not to Paul Ryan being one of them. During an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Rogen revealed that he refused to take a photo with the Speaker of the House. Around the 3:55 mark, Rogen explained he was "put into a bit of a pickle" when "two young, very white" teenagers came up to him and said that their dad wanted to meet him...and their dad ended up being Ryan.

"My whole body puckered, I tensed up, and I didn’t know what to do," explained Rogen. Ryan went on to ask to take a photo with him but Rogen, who saw his kids nearby, couldn't bring himself to agree to the photo op.

"I hate what you’re doing to the country at this moment, and I’m counting the days until you no longer have one iota of the power that you currently have," Rogen said he told Ryan. Although he was still "very conflicted" since Ryan's kids within earshot, he said there's a lesson in the moment for them to understand.

"They should probably learn that if they like a movie or song, the person who made that probably doesn't like their dad that much," he said. "Unless they're watching Roseanne reruns or something like that."

But in the end, Rogen doesn't regret the decision. “I’m glad I didn’t take a picture with Paul Ryan...I touched him so I don’t know how I feel about that,” he said.
