Earlier this month, stars from The Office and fans alike mourned the death of the beloved actor, Hugh Dane, who played the character of Hank on the hit NBC series. Now, TMZ reports that Dane died of pancreatic cancer, according to his death certificate.
The news of his death hit in early June when a nonprofit organization, The Inner City Cultural Center, announced the news on Facebook. But TMZ says the death certificate reports Dane's date of death three weeks earlier on May 16 at his Los Angeles home.
After his death was made public, several of the show's actors went to Twitter to pay tribute to his legacy.
"RIP Hugh Dane, aka Hank the security guard. He was one of the greats. So kind, funny, talented. We will all miss him," read a tweet from Rainn Wilson, which also encouraged his followers to donate to the Inner City Cultural Center in the late actor's name. "What a terrific guy," wrote Steve Carell.

And in case you're in the feels, The Office is streaming on Netflix for all your watching and re-watching purposes. There have even been talks of a reboot or reunion with the old cast. Unfortunately, they'll be one member short if it does happen.
