It's hard to imagine that something like naming a random book title would be hard, but apparently it is. Jimmy Kimmel shared that according to a study conducted by Pew Research, nearly a quarter of Americans have gone the past year without reading a book, in whole or even in part.

Kimmel thinks the numbers might be even higher than that, so just to make sure, he sent a team to take to the streets to try to get strangers to drop a title of a book. Literally, any book. It sounds like a simple enough task, but it went far worse than you could have expected.

A lot of the respondents admitted they "don't read books" and had a pretty hard time remembering the name of a single one. One man offered up The Lion King, which was definitely a movie and not a book, while one woman asked, "Do magazines count?" They don't.
