2016 has been a hell of a year for one Kit Harington, a.k.a. that guy who once played a mean game of tennis with Andy Samberg while on a Jon Snow hiatus. The Game of Thrones star got back together with Rose Leslie, admitted to lying to the entire Thrones cast about his own fate, and even used knowledge of that fate to avoid a parking ticket. For his latest headline-crashing act, Harington is tackling an issue that's apparently close to his heart: sexism against dudes.
"I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks," Harington told the Sunday Times Magazine in a recent interview, according to Mashable. "It's demeaning. Yes, in some ways you could argue I've been employed for a look I have. But there's a sexism that happens towards men."
Harington adds that he's sick of getting questions about his hair and personal relationships. "If you said to a girl, 'Do you like being called a babe?' and she said, 'No, not really,' she'd be absolutely right," Harington said. "There's definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well." Harington's comments, of course, haven't exactly hit the right chord among Thrones fans:
Damn. If only there was a memorable Ygritte quote about Jon Snow and knowing nothing that we could use here.
