Paul Bennett doesn’t take “no” for an answer. Even from a mailbox.
The 45-year-old British man pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and abusive behavior after he got a bit tipsy and decided to make a pass at a mailbox in a Wigan, England mall. Despite the mailbox’s resistance, Bennett successfully rubbed himself up on the victim while shouting “wow!”
According to a report from the Manchester Evening News, “After completing the act he pulled his trousers up and started swinging on a lamppost. An alarmed eye-witness called police, who found him exposing himself again when they arrived.”
Rightly, Bennett will now have to register as a sex offender and receive treatment for alcoholism along with performing the requisite community service. For some reason, he also has to pay £50 to the witness who reported the crime.
But what about the poor mailbox? Where is its restitution?
